President

James F. Clemens

James has led the SouthWare family since we opened our doors back in 1984. As our President, he provides strategic direction for the entire organization.

During business hours (and sometimes afterwards) you can find him making operational decisions, interacting with product developers, or leading sales and marketing efforts. His primary goal is to provide clients and resellers more value by continually enhancing SouthWare products and improving operations.

While all of these business duties are important to our continued success, James doesn’t let them get in the way of ensuring the people of SouthWare have a good work-life balance and achieve professional success by using their own best talents and abilities in their daily work functions.

After-hours are just as busy for James as business hours. He takes time to exercise (which includes taking a nice long walk on the back nine) and to enjoy life with his wife and daughters. Just as he is interested in helping the SouthWare team to be professionally fulfilled, James’ real passion involves working with young people to strengthen new marriages and create solid financial foundations for the future. In fact, don’t be surprised if you see his name on the shelf of your local bookstore soon…. James intends to write a book about this very subject.

James is a graduate of Auburn University and holds a B.S. in Accounting and an M.B.A.

Tim Sanders

Executive Vice President

Tim Sanders

Tim Sanders oversees SouthWare’s product development and support. He leads the efforts of the Development and Support teams in their pursuit of excellence regarding our products and services. He is an advocate for a business software development approach that enhances mature and proven applications with new technology.

Tim’s day-to-day activities focus on project management and product design.  He enjoys designing innovative solutions to customer software needs and then working with our team to turn those designs into reality.  He also helps write the documentation and training materials that communicate those solutions to others.

Away from work most of Tim’s time is spent with his family.  With nine children (eight still at home) his home is filled with things to do and people to do them with.  He and his wife educate their children at home and enjoy the blessings of a close family.  They are active in their church and love to have people visit (the girls are great cooks!).

Tim grew up on a farm in Indiana and he and his family currently have a mini-farm (with chickens and garden).  His children enjoy country life including outdoor projects and growing “good” food to share with others. When he gets a little quiet time, Tim likes to read and learn new skills.  Someday he hopes to publish a book for his future descendants (he’s expecting a lot of grandchildren).

Tim is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner.  He received a B.S. in Accounting from Indiana Central University and an M.B.A. from Auburn University .

Bonnie Streeter

Support Manager

Bonnie Streeter

We recognize talent when we see it. That’s why we hired Bonnie Streeter in 1987 just after she graduated from Auburn with a degree in Accounting. Bonnie began her career at SouthWare as a support technician. She now leads the entire Support Department and continues to nurture it as it evolves. Where it once centered around basic trouble-shooting, the Support Department now provides comprehensive services including business needs analysis and consulting.

With a true enthusiasm for problem-solving, Bonnie’s interest in computers was the perfect fit for our business. Sure, she has a lot of responsibilities, but her favorite is helping customers solve day-to-day business needs through the development and implementation of SouthWare applications.

In her free time, Bonnie enjoys working on community service projects through her church and spending time with her family. She and her husband have been married 25 years and have two children. Together, they spend a lot of time outdoors or riding really fast toys.

George Herndon

Sales Coordinator

George Herndon

George Herndon has been with SouthWare from the word “go”. One of our original founders, his entire career has concentrated on computer and software sales. George’s main focus is ensuring our dealers are fully equipped with the knowledge, tools, and resources to facilitate operational excellence with our clients. He is often assisting dealers with tradeshows and user group meetings. Working with the dealers is the most fulfilling part of his job–many of who have become personal friends over the years. When he’s not busy with current dealers, George is also looking for new ones or advising management about sales and marketing.

A graduate of Auburn University, George spends much of his free time traveling with his wife Cil. They have been square dancing with a local club for over 20 years, even taking their passion for the art on the road from time-to-time. Some of George’s other hobbies include boating, skiing, reading, and watching sports, though he probably gets the most enjoyment out of visiting with his three daughters and their five children.

Tony Jones

Development Coordinator

Tony Jones

Tony Jones is the most senior member of our development department and is only one of several developers that have been a part of SouthWare from the very beginning. We look at this longevity as a sign of commitment to providing our customers with mature and stable products. 

In his capacity as a developer, he was in on the design and development of our lead applications and foundation.  Tony assists Tim Sanders, VP of Development, in product planning and scheduling.  Tony is known at SouthWare as the 'go to guy'. When difficult programming or technical issues arise, Tony is usually the person consulted to help identify and resolve the problem.

After work Tony is active in sports and fitness. He likes a variety of individual sports including tennis, golf, and biking. Any spare time is spent with his wife Valerie on their horse breeding farm.  Check out the farm at valamarmorgans.com.

Dawn Ey

Marketing

Dawn Ey

Dawn Ey began working with SouthWare just last year. She may not be a SouthWare veteran in the traditional sense, but we like the "breath of fresh air" she is bringing to our marketing efforts. With 15 years of experience in marketing and communications, Dawn is currently a professional marketing communications consultant. Dawn previously served as director of strategic marketing for Vertis Communications, a $2 billion advertising services company based in Baltimore, MD where she guided the company’s brand strategy and managed marketing communications.

Now she helps clients achieve strategic business advantages while creating and optimizing brand equity. Her expertise in branding and marketing communications enables her to identify, develop, and execute marketing opportunities for growth and improvement.

Between working with clients and caring for her two small children, Dawn and her husband don’t have much free time. When they manage to find a few unscheduled moments, they usually spend them visiting Dawn’s large extended family. She holds a B.A. in Communication from Jacksonville State University.
